Settles/Gayle hoop league
The Settles/Gayle Unified 5-on-5 All-Star Summer League will be holding final registration tomorrow from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Cromwell Center. The weekend league, which runs from Saturday, July 25 to Sunday, Aug. 23 and is co-sponsored by the Universal Temple of the Arts and Assemblywoman Janele Hyer-Spencer, is for boys and girls of all ability levels from ages 8-18. The league is also in need of volunteer coaches, referees, timers and scorers. Call Helen Settles at 718-981-4169.


Ryan Jr. tennis entries
Tourney director Ed Perpetua announced that the Jim Ryan Memorial Tournament will run a junior event starting Thursday at Wagner College for boys and girls ages 12, 14, 16 and 18-and-under. Tomorrow is the deadline to enter. Call Perpetua at 718-370-8757. Also, there will be a junior novice round-robin event Saturday after the Women's A semifinals and the annual one-point tournament before Sunday's finals.

Basketball camp

New Springville LL tourney
The New Springville Little League is now accepting teams for its 19th annual double-elimination tournament beginning Friday, Aug. 7. The team entry fee is $275. All games will be played at the loop's complex at 1200 Forest Hill Rd. Team brackets are ages 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-16. For information and to reserve a spot, call 718-494-1050.
